It was a toss up, but I voted for the Christmas Story. Kev moans and groans when I put it in……he hates it, but I love it! But the toss up was Elf…..I love that one too!!
Not easiest to pick as none of my top five are on there, except for maybe Grinch and wonderful life. How about Family Man, Bishop’s wife, christmas Carol?
You forgot to include “Miracle on 34th Street” (the old one) and a Christmas Carol. My mom has slowly been sending me my favorite Christmas movies over the last five year. My collection is almost complete enough to see me through the season.
I know, there are sooo many good ones out there, but I just had to narrow it down 😦 I was also reminded of Polar Express, which is such a great one too….maybe I should have done a Top 10 instead of a poll….. next year!
I voted for “A Christmas Story” too- but picked Polar Express – because after watching it this year with my daughter – she just thought it was magical.
Actually it was a toss up between Elf and Home Alone. I remember watching Home Alone each year when it was on after Thanksgiving! The best part was watching it with my dad who laughed so hard as the guys tried to break into the house! But I also love ELF, it is SOOO FUNNY!!! 🙂
While my Christmas Experiences were never quite as dysfunctional as the Griwolds, in many ways I can relate to this mans distorted goal of the best Christmas ever. In-laws, Christmas lights that need a engineer blueprint and the occasional Holy @#$%, where’s the Tylenol? Ring true.
It wasn’t an easy decision….picking one of ‘your’ favorites!
Miracle on 34th Street is probably my favorite, which wasn’t on your list, so I chose Home Alone. It amazed me how a kid that young could figure out all those pranks (I have to remind myself it’s a MOVIE!)
I’ve got some searching to do because I’m not sure what Chanukah is. Well…..I didn’t have to go very far. I just looked at my Jewish calendar and it told me what it is. The Feast of Dedication. Is it the same thing as Hanukah?
May the Lord guide and guard you throughout this New Year, wherever you are. My prayers continue for you, for you are fulfilling my deepest desire, and if I was where you are I’d want people praying for me as well. Blessings to you….
