If you didn’t know before, you know now…. I love boots!
Moving to Israel only allowed me to only bring the necessities with me, which also meant only bringing one pair of boots with me and leaving a whole tub full behind.
This morning my nephew went out to the shed where all my tubs are and pulled out the one with my boots. It was a happy reunion for me, seeing my precious footwear again. AND, just in time too…its rainy, cold and dreary outside: perfect weather for wearing boots EVERY DAY!

Do you really need boots in Isreal? What is the weather like there in the winter? Enjoy your boots and your time with family.
I appreciate your sacrifice to be away from your family to do what you do for the Lord.

It gets surprisingly cold in Israel, specially in Jerusalem in the winter. It has even snowed there!

I can totally see you being a boot person. You know, I don’t think I have worn a pair of boots since the third grade. I had a pair of cowboy boots and a pair of clunky moon boots. What a travesty, eh?

totally! You need a GOOD pair of boots 😉

Personally I am a boots person too!
Especially Moon Boots…those rock!

Moon boots?!?
September 29th, 2009 at 20:29
You know..the ones you were in the snow..they are big, silver and super fluffy on the inside to keep your feet warm…
You grew up in MI, admit it…you had some..probably pink ones.

ok. For sure!!! I don’t remember calling them moon boots, but I definitely had a pair or two of those….still have a pair of pink ones at my sisters in case I ever come home during winter time. I will have to take a picture and send it to you. :O

My six year old son is a boot man himself. Really likes wearing his red cowboy boots with shorts.
Quite the fashion plate, like his old man…

Fun! I love boots too! Hope you are having a great time!

BOOTS! Are those your boots in the picture? I love boots but I have a sad tale of woe–I have little feet( size 7)and big calves! Oh the sadness of me that I have not found a real boot in years that I can afford! So I will live vicariously through your boot experience. I truly feel that pulling out the fall/winter things after a long summer is like inviting and old friend over for tea. I KNOW I will miss that when the kidlets are all grown and gone.
Glad you are enjoying this wonderful fall!

Yeah for boots! They are one fun part about cold weather, I have to admit.

I’d be embarrassed to admit how many pair of boots I own. I’d wear them year round if I could get away with it. As soon as the weather hints at coolness I’m right back in them.
I haven’t been following your blog. I’d be curious to know what part of Israel you’re in.

I live in Tel Aviv, though I get around to other parts quite often as well 🙂 Thanks for the comment!!!
